Nissan Canada Finance (NCF) is in the process of notifying all of its 1.13 million customers of a data breach that may have exposed their personal and financial information.
According to the company report, customers who had financed their autos through either NCF or INFINITI Financial Services Canada may be affected. NCF became aware of unauthorized access to personal information on December 11.Â
The data exposed in the incident may have included customer name, address, vehicle make and model, vehicle identification number (VIN), credit score, loan amount and monthly payment, Tripwire reports.
NCF also said that no payment card information was exposed and customers who have financed vehicles outside of Canada were not impacted by the breach.Â
