Hudson’s Bay said on Sunday that hackers stole personal data and payment card data from customers who shopped at its Saks Fifth Avenue, Saks OFF 5TH and Lord & Taylor department stores.Â
The hackers claim to have made off with 5 million payment card numbers and were selling the data on the dark web, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Hudson’s Bay further added that the company “has identified the issue, and has taken steps to contain it. Once the company has more clarity around the facts, it will notify customers quickly and will offer those impacted free identity protection services, including credit and web monitoring,” CNBC reports.
The company also stated they have identified and contained the issue. So far, no indicators of compromise have affected their e-commerce or other digital platforms, the company also confirmed.
