Google releases Chrome security update (81.0.4044.138)

Google has released Chrome 81.0.4044.138 for Windows, Mac and Linux.

An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of impacted systems.

The Chrome security update addresses 3 security fixes, to include the following high severity vulnerabilities:

  • CVE-2020-6831: Stack buffer overflow in SCTP.
  • CVE-2020-6464: Type Confusion in Blink.

This is the fourth security update since Google released Chrome 81, that included support for Web NFC standard along with new features for auto-upgrading of mixed image content.

In addition, Google also update Chrome 81 (81.0.4044.138) for Android.
