Google has released Chrome 83.0.4103.116 security update for Windows, Mac and Linux, as well as a new Chrome OS security update available for most Chrome OS devices.
An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of impacted systems.
The Chrome browser security update addresses 2 security fixes, to include a High severity ‘use after free in extensions’ vulnerability CVE-2020-6509.
Google also addressed multiple bug fixes and security fixes in new version of Chrome Operating System (OS) 83.0.4103.119. Chrome OS devices will receive updates over the next several days to address vulnerabilities.
Finally, Google also released Chrome Beta 84 (84.0.4147.69) for Android.
