Microsoft releases security update for Edge, zero-day exploited in the wild

Microsoft has released a security update for its Chromium-based Edge browser to address multiple vulnerabilities, to include one zero-day exploited in the wild.

An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities and potentially take over impacted systems.

According to the advisory, Microsoft fixed the following vulnerabilities: CVE-2020-15999, CVE-2020-16000, CVE-2020-16001, CVE-2020-16002 and CVE-2020-16003.

It is important to also note that CVE-2020-15999 has been reported to be exploited in the wild.

Moreover, all five vulnerabilities were also addressed in Google Chrome 86.0.4240.111.
