Google has released Chrome 88 security update (88.0.4324.146) for Windows, Mac and Linux with fixes for six vulnerabilities.
An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of impacted systems.
As part of the Chrome security update, Google patched one Critical ‘Use after free in Payments’ vulnerability CVE-2021-21142.
Moreover, Google also fixed four High severity vulnerabilities, as reported by external researchers:
- CVE-2021-21143: Heap buffer overflow in Extensions.
- CVE-2021-21144: Heap buffer overflow in Tab Groups.
- CVE-2021-21145: Use after free in Fonts.
- CVE-2021-21146: Use after free in Navigation.
Finally, the Chrome update also addressed one Medium vulnerability CVE-2021-21147 that is caused by an inappropriate implementation in Skia.
