Google has released its Android Security Bulletin for October 2022 with details of security vulnerabilities affecting Android devices.
An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of impacted systems.
“The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in the Framework component that could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed,” Google warned in the advisory.
The Android update addressed six vulnerabilities in Framework to include Critical flaw CVE-2022-20419, was as three High and two Moderate issues.
Additional High severity issues were addressed in Android Media Framework, System, Kernel and other components.
Security patch levels of 2022-10-05 or later address all of these issues.
