Google releases Chrome 101 (101.0.4951.64) security update with fixes for 13 vulnerabilities

Google has released Chrome 101.0.4951.64 for Windows, Mac and Linux with fixes for 13 vulnerabilities, to include 8 rated High severity.

An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of impacted systems.

The latest Chrome 101 security update (101.0.4951.64) patched the following 8 High severity vulnerabilities contributed by external researchers:

  1. CVE-2022-1633: Use after free in Sharesheet.
  2. CVE-2022-1634: Use after free in Browser UI.
  3. CVE-2022-1635: Use after free in Permission Prompts.
  4. CVE-2022-1636: Use after free in Performance APIs.
  5. CVE-2022-1637: Inappropriate implementation in Web Contents.
  6. [VE-2022-1638: Heap buffer overflow in V8 Internationalization.
  7. CVE-2022-1639: Use after free in ANGLE.
  8. CVE-2022-1640: Use after free in Sharing.

Earlier this week, Google also released security updates for ChromeOS 101.0.4951.59 and Chrome 101 (101.0.4951.61) for Android with fixes for multiple High risk vulnerabilities.
