Apple has released security updates to address vulnerabilities in multiple products to include OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, macOS Sierra 10.12.6, macOS High Sierra 10.13.4. An attacker could exploit unpatched vulnerabilities to take over a victim’s system.
In all, 32 vulnerabilities were included in the OS X and macOS updates. Three of the kernel bugs could allow a malicious application to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Another could allow a privileged user to perform denial of service attack.
The remaining OS X/macOS bugs fixed include but not limited to: Mail, Messages, Firmware, Bluetooth, Graphics Drivers (multiple), Grand Central Dispatch, Hypervisor and Accessibility Framework.
Apple also updated Safari 11.1.1 to address 13 vulnerabilities, 11 of those for WebKit.
In case you missed it also last week, Apple released iOS 11.4 that addressed many of the same vulnerabilities fixed in the latest macOS and OS X updates and others to include Webkit and Siri bugs.
Apple also issued security updates for watchOS 4.3.1, iTunes 12.7.5 for Windows, and tvOS 11.4.
