Hackers hijack Enigma

Hackers have hijacked Enigma, a cryptocurrency investor platform and ethereum marketplace, and stole more than $500,000 in cryptocurrency from investors via a phishing scam.

ZDNet reports the unknown hacker compromised the enigma.co domain, Slack admin account and mailing lists.

All put together, the stolen information was then used to send out the phishing emails used to trick investors into sending money to the fraudsters.

One commenter on Reddit suggested that Enigma CEO Guy Zyskind’s account was hijacked using a previously hacked password that was more than a year old.

Hackers then allegedly used the stolen credentials to access the main site, Slack and others.
