Google has released Chrome 85 and security updates for Windows, Mac and Linux. The latest version includes new browser tab features to improve productivity.
As more people are using their browsers for work and learn online, Google has released a new Chrome 85 that now includes multiple features that offer productivity improvements.
For instance, new opened tabs can now launch 10% faster. In addition, tab groups offer users the ability to “visually distinguish your tabs by topic or task—like work or shopping—or even priority.”
Users can also collapse and expand tab groups to make it easier to see the ones you want to see and access.
In addition, the Chrome security update 85.0.4183.83 also addresses 20 security fixes to include the following two High severity vulnerabilities:
- CVE-2020-6558: Insufficient policy enforcement in iOS.
- CVE-2020-6559: Use after free in presentation API.
An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of impacted systems.
Finally, Google released a security update for Chrome 85 (85.0.4183.78) for Android.
